McMaugh Gardens is a 36 bed aged care facility offering 35 permanent rooms and 1 respite rooms. It is a low care facility that offers aging in place and can cater for a wide variety of care needs. Although not a dementia specific facility (no secure units) McMaugh Gardens is dementia friendly with skilled staff that can deal with dementia. Every person has basic human needs and in our society is entitled to have those needs met; to grow old and die with dignity; and to have a genuine opportunity for life to be meaningful. McMaugh Gardens ensures that the individual physical emotional cultural and spiritual needs of residents are not overlooked. Family involvement is encouraged as residential care is only a support system for families not a substitute.McMaugh Gardens helps maintain a meaningful family relationship and encourages residents to keep and/or develop positive attitudes to their own well being. Opportunities for them to relate to other people and to be involved in activities of their own personal interest are provided.
