Carinya Home for the Aged is situated in Atherton on the beautiful Atherton Tablelands. We have a wonderful natural outlook taking in the lush rainforest surrounds of the area and located within 1 1/2 hours of Cairns. Carinya Home provides residential aged care services and independent living accommodation and has provided high quality residential care to the area since 1977. We are a community based non-profit organisation. We offer assisted complexdementia specific and respite care services. Residents and their families are invited to participate in all aspects of the home. Residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms to continue the homelike atmosphere at the facility. Our in-house catering and dining staff prepare meals from the freshest possible ingredients and we are able to cater for special dietary needs.
