I am a Counsellor/Social Worker who has worked within the human service industry for the past 15 years in the Central Queensland community. My qualifications include Bachelor of Social Work, Bachelor of Arts (Welfare, Psychology, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander studies), Graduate Certificate in Expressive Therapies, Workplace IV in assessment and training, together with ongoing professional development in various areas. I have worked in both government and non-government agencies including Department of Justice and Attorney General (Dispute Resolution), Anglicare CQ (Family and Community Intervention), Women's Health, Queensland Health (Hospital and Community), and Converge International (Employment Assistance Program).These roles have included working with people from diverse backgrounds with a broad range of issues. Some of these issues have included: Workplace, Dispute Resolution, Child Protection, Domestic Violence, Mental Health, Mediation, Relationship, WomenÂ’s Issues, Ageing and adjustment, Grief and Loss, Psychoeducation, and ChildrenÂ’s issues including behaviour management.
