Hamley Bridge Memorial Hospital Inc is a not for profit community owned private hospital and Aged Care Facility (Rest Home) located in beautiful quiet rural location. Apart from catering for community members requiring acute status nursing care the facility also caters for clients requiring differing levels of assisted residential care. All needs are catered for in a holistic environment utilizing ageing in place. The Hostel provides assisted accommodation for 8 clients whose requirements are low care/semi-independent with single rooms each with ensuite bathroom and small kitchen. There is a large communal dining room and two garden areas overlooking the local farmland. The Nursing Home caters for clients whose care needs are high care requiring close monitoring by nursing staff. It is located next to the nurses station where a Registered Nurse is in attendance 24 hours a day. There is a large dining and combined television entertainment area. There is a combination of single and double rooms the double rooms can provide married couple accommodation. The Special Care Unit opened April 2004 consisting 12 single rooms each with ensuite bathroom. A large dining and lounge area provides sufficient space for concerts or large group activities. The SCU has 24 hour nursing attendance catering for special care requirements. It is a secure area with a garden overlooking adjoining farmland. The Diversional Therapy-Leisure & Lifestyle Team consisting staff and volunteers assess clients leisure and recreational preferences aiming to enhance individual clients wellbeing. Bus trips concerts happy hours BBQs craft music are some of the interests facilitated. The Serenity Suite opened September 2008 is a specialized area that caters for the client in Palliative Care and provides family and friends with a private area to be close to their loved one.
