LCC’s Wahroonga Retirement Village began in 1982 as a small retirement village with the goal of meeting the needs of the local population. The service has grown significantly and now has 74 residents.

There are nine independent living units for retirees, or residents and locals wishing to live independently yet experience the advantages of accessing emergency care and the comfort of a village atmosphere; there are 35 low-care and 30 high-care beds in its residential aged care area, including 16 places for residents with special needs in the purpose-built dementia unit (all single ensuited rooms). Wahroonga provides the only secure dementia accommodation within a 150km radius.
