Sandhill is a 132 place high and low care facility which makes it one of the largest residential aged care facilities in Tasmania. It is set in an extensive park like location on a hill overlooking Launceston.

Sandhill offers different levels of accommodation. There are high and low care beds, respite opportunities in a range of room configurations; single rooms and shared rooms with private ensuites.

Spacious lounge rooms are spread throughout the building to provide residents with a large range of choices to sit and relax. The most popular area is in the large solarium with its spectacular views over south east Launceston and the mountains as a backdrop.

The facility features many other lounge rooms boasting some of the best views in Launceston of the Tamar Valley.

Sandhill has provided care for many residents and their families over the years. This has occurred while providing opportunities for staff in employment and continuing education, combined with strong relationships with education and training institutions, resulting in higher standards of service, particularly in relation to the nursing provided.
