Eldercare Allambi was established in the early 1950s on the site of the original Hamilton Winery Homestead by the Congregational Homes for the Aged Inc.

Environment & Services

Allambi is Eldercare's largest facility, with 119 single rooms featuring their own air conditioning units and en suites. Being a large facility, we have the space to offer a wide range of services and activities, and every resident enjoys the same spacious rooms.

The last stage of Allambi's redevelopment was completed in February 2011 - in the largest building project undertaken by Eldercare to date. The design features numerous courtyard gardens that draw on current best practice in interactive garden design, including outdoor entertaining areas, and extensive, well maintained garden areas, all for the enjoyment of residents and their families.

Allambi is close to Marion shopping centre, and is easily accessible by car and public transport.

Our Lowrie Lifestyle Centre is an ideal location for the various concerts and other activities offered through our extensive lifestyle program. We also have our own hairdressing salon, computer kiosk, and pet therapy program. A Chaplain is on site full time to provide emotional and spiritual support to our residents and their families.

Community & Social Networks

Our large and organised volunteer group enhance professional services in specialist areas such as palliative care, dementia specific care and pastoral care. The Friends of Allambi group also undertake regular fundraising activities to support the lifestyle activities we offer.

We have developed relationships with local artists and have been awarded for our established intergenerational program supporting Learning Assistance Program students at the Warradale Primary School.
