A new wing was opened in 2004 and there are two courtyards for resident use. The facility is easily accessed by both bus and train and there is ample car parking on site.

The accommodation is a mix of bedrooms with ensuites and accommodates people of different cultural backgrounds, reflecting the population of Springvale over the years.

Staff, medical practitioners and volunteers from a range of cultural and linguistic backgrounds are available to enable the home to better meet the specific needs of residents.

Recently a program to meet cultural food preferences has been launched.

The lifestyle program runs seven days a week and is integrated well with local community activities and family involvement is encouraged.

Clinical care is managed by qualified registered nurses and a range of specialist services is available according to need.
