Cooper House was named after Mr and Mrs Sam and Lucy Cooper the first people to make a donation to the vision of Wheller Gardens aged care community some 78 years ago. Visitors to Cooper House will regularly see baby chickens hatching; aromatherapy and massage treatments and concerts from school students. Residents living at Cooper House have access to Wesley Mission Brisbane's own specialised on-site residential aged care allied health professionals. This means that residents have convenient and timely access to services such as podiatry physiotherapy dietetics occupational therapy and speech pathology. This provides a streamlined approach for care with allied health staff easily and confidentially able to communicate with nursing staff to tailor support to each residents' individual needs. Cooper House is involved with Wesley Mission Brisbane’s Intergenerational Program with Little Marchants Childcare centre also located at Wheller Gardens.
