Anesi Is recognised by the Department of Health and Ageing as a provider of nursing care to Australian elders of Greek speaking background who have a current Aged Care Assessment indicating the need for high care services. Nursing Care is provided in a pleasant environment in Station Street Thornbury. Accommodation The facility accommodates 90 residents. There are 90 single rooms with their own ensuites. The allocation of rooms is determined by the Manager of Residential Care Services who takes into account various factors and individual needs. There are two resident’s lounges a dining room activities room kitchen and laundry. Anesi Memory Support Unit (Ageing in Place) Provides care to Greek elderly people who suffer from dementia. There is emphasis on structure and validation as well as on the Greek culture including food support language and activities. Anesi has 30 permanent beds. Accommodation - Each resident at Anesi has their own bedroom and access to a shared ensuite. The Anesi Memory Support Unit will open in March 2014.
