The Miles and District Retirement Village Committee was formed in 1983 by concerned local residents who felt there was a need to provide accommodation services for the ageing population.The Western Downs Regional Council oversees the day to day management of the Carinya group of facilities which include Carinya Aged Persons Hostel Miles and District Retirement Village and Carinya Community Aged Care Packages Service. Carinya is a 17 bed aged care facility accommodating for low and high care residents. Carinya is committed to enhancing the quality of life of our residents through the provision of a range of services designed to promote and support physical emotionalspiritual and social wellbeing.
