The QCWA owns and operates one aged care facility offering various levels of care. Situated in Oakey CWA House is a 40-bed facility 15 of which are in a secure dementia care unit. It is staffed 24 hours a day with nursing care on call.The home is located on the banks of Oakey Creek and offers permanent and respite accommodation to aged persons across the Darling Downs. Ask QCWA members and most Queenslanders (particularly those living in regional rural and remote communities) and they will tell you that the Queensland Country Women's Association is 'just there' in times of crisis.
