BCS Maranoa Centre is a superb facility located in the picturesque township of Alstonville where good climate and strong local community are the hallmarks of local living. The facility boasts beautiful gardens with views of rural pastures and is on site with a luscious rainforest patch that includes over 30 species of established rainforest trees, including the majestic Moreton Bay Fig tree where residents and staff often visit to rest and read.

The Centre provides 90 beds, including high care, low care, dementia care and respite care services.

The Low Care facility comprises of 44 rooms on a single-story set on magnificently landscaped grounds. All low care standard rooms come equipped with ensuite, built-ins and emergency call systems. Non-standard rooms have additional unique features including kitchenettes, separate sitting areas and private courtyards with gardens.

The High Care section comprises of 21 beds in 20 rooms which allows our facility to cater for married couples. Bedrooms are available in a variety of designs and colour schemes and are generous in size with ample cupboard and storage space.

Each room has provision for television, telephone, computer/internet access and a state of the art Questek Nurse Call system has been installed. Some rooms have their own private balcony. Communal areas and some bedrooms have reverse cycle air conditioning and all rooms have heaters and ceiling fans.

The dementia care accommodation comprises of an innovatively designed 15 bed low care wing, which is co-located with a 10 bed high care wing. All rooms have ensuites and each wing has a TV room, dining and lounge room. All rooms are generous in size with ample cupboard and storage space. Each room has provision for television, computer/internet and telephone access and a state of the art Questek Nurse Call system has been installed with bed sensor features. Communal areas have reverse cycle air conditioning and all rooms have heaters and ceiling fans.
