Elkanah Retirement Village

Located approximately 20 kilometres from Adelaide, Elkanah Retirement Village comprises of independent living units. Each unit has a rear private garden area, in which many residents have established pergolas and personal gardens. The site also provides parking areas for those who have caravans and boats.

The Elkanah Community Hall provides a central meeting place for all Elkanah residents. The Hall features an excellent view from its sundeck where residents can catch-up and features many and varied activities, including indoor lawn bowls, craft groups and cards and games evenings.

The Community Hall is also available for family functions including birthdays and anniversaries. The Hall also includes the community library, where books, jigsaws, magazines and music are available to borrow.

Elkanah is conveniently located, with the local shops and Woodcroft Town Centre all close by. Every Thursday, there is a community bus which takes residents to the Woodcroft Shopping Centre and returns them to their unit.

A feature of the site is the large community gardens which surround the homes and are maintained by volunteers, residents and staff. The gardens contain a variety of different vegetation, from roses to native plants.
